Frans kenteken
Nu we een beetje gesetteld zijn is het tijd om onze auto op frans kenteken te zetten. Na flink googlen kwamen we er achter dat we een numéro d’impôt (belastingnummer) nodig hadden om dit te kunnen doen.
Daarom gingen we deze week naar een soort belastingkantoor in Cahors. Na ruim een uur in de rij gewacht te hebben verklaard de vrouw aan de balie ons dat het belastingkantoor altijd een jaar achter loopt en ze daarom pas volgend jaar april weten dat wij in Frankrijk wonen. Dan kunnen we pas een numéro d’impôt aanvragen. Typisch op z’n Frans dus…
Na even zoeken vonden we in dezelfde stad een kantoortje in de binnenstad die ‘immatriculation de voitures’ (overzetten van buitenlandse auto’s) zou doen. We vonden het het proberen waard dus stappen we even later het kleine kantoortje binnen. Al snel komt een aardige vrouw, dat een biertje aan het drinken was op het terras naast het kantoor, vrolijk binnen met haar glas nog in de hand. Het was op dat moment nog maar 11 uur s’ochtends maar dat is hier dood normaal.
“Pas de problème!”, binnen no time had ze al het papierwerk in gevuld en konden we tijdelijke franse kentekenplaten laten maken (de definitieve duren nog een maand of 3).
Nu we toch in de mooie binnenstad van Cahors waren namen we gelijk de tijd voor een wandeling en besloten wat te lunchen bij een super leuk restaurant/proeflokaal ‘les petits producteurs’ met enkel producten uit de streek; foie gras, walnoten, wijnen, bieren, eend…
Nog even de verzekering regelen en daar rijden we dan met ons Franse autootje, eindelijk lijken we geen toeristen meer!
